CAROLINE E. BARNHILL is an Associate at Lauro Law Firm. Ms. Barnhill was born in Baltimore, Maryland, but has spent most of her life in the central Florida area. Ms. Barnhill graduated from the University of Florida with a B.A. in History and a Minor in Classical Studies, and then graduated from Stetson University College of Law.

During law school, Ms. Barnhill served as a Notes and Comments Editor of the Stetson Law Review, was a member of the Phi Delta Phi International Honors Fraternity, and upon graduation received the Victor O’Wehle Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy.

MICHAEL G. CALIFANO

MICHAEL G. CALIFANO is an Associate at Lauro Law Firm. Mr. Califano was born in Bronx, New York, but has spent most of his life in the Tampa Bay area. Mr. Califano graduated from the University of South Florida Honors College with a B.A. in History, prior to attending law school at Stetson University College of Law.

During law school, Mr. Califano interned at Bay Area Legal Services’ Family Law Team. After graduating law school, Mr. Califano was admitted to the United States District Courts for the Middle District of Florida and Southern District of Florida.

SHARON CARLSTEDT BRITTON

SHARON CARLSTEDT BRITTON is Of Counsel at the Lauro Law Firm. Ms. Britton was raised in Tampa and attended college and law school in Washington, D.C. Ms. Britton graduated from the American University magna cum laude with a B.A. in International Relations and Minors in Business and Russian Language. Ms. Britton then graduated from Georgetown University Law School cum laude and was on the law journal, Law and Policy in International Business and served in the Georgetown Juvenile Justice Clinic.

After law school, Ms. Britton practiced law as a commercial litigator in New York City as an associate and then as a partner at the law firm Thelen, Reid & Priest LLP. Ms. Britton was the co-hiring partner for the New York Office, a member of the Commercial Litigation Department, the Intellectual Property & Trade Regulation Practice Group and the Diversity Committee. While at Thelen, Ms. Britton represented clients on a variety of complex commercial matters, including in the areas of intellectual property, securities, contract and bankruptcy. She also litigated several high profile copyright infringement actions on behalf of record labels, music publishers and artists against Internet companies such as MP3.com and Napster. She has published articles in the areas of copyright law and education and has taught CLE courses on copyright law.

Ms. Britton is a member of the bars of the State of Florida and the State of New York.
